Standards Committee Work![]() I enjoy working with experts in their field to develop, update and maintain published consensus-based standards documents. I find consensus-based standards work is very rewarding as you get the opportunity to share ideas and best practices with the top experts in their area of expertise. Standards committee work is a long-term endeavour. It often takes 3-5 years (or more) to develop a good high-quality consensus-based technical standard or technical report. There are many benefits of using published standards. The main one is that by using published standards you can avoid having to do custom-design-work by using best practices that have been developed by strong committees of experts that has been subjected to a rigourous peer-review process. Here is a list of the committees I am currently actively involved with:
Standards & Technical Reports (in progress) CAN/CSA-IEC 62443-2-4:17 "Security for industrial automation and control systems - Part 2-4: Security program requirements for IACS service providers".
